ABOUT THE TEAM

The Medisafe team is 65 members across 3 offices (Tel Aviv, Boston, and London) and growing. With a recent influx of funding ($30m Series C led by Sanofi and Alive), we expect to launch new products and lines of business. To do this and do it well, we're looking for a VP, Head of Payor Business Development in Boston. In this role, your goal will be to develop strategic partnerships with large payors in the US and potential providers. We’ll expect you to be an entrepreneur: you’ll be building out the business and strategy from the ground up and be responsible for executing. You’ll start as a team of one, but grow your team to increase Medisafe’s access to the payor and pharma markets. Leveraging your network and strategy, you identify patterns, build playbooks, engage with strategic businesses, launch partnerships, hire a team, and amplify the Medisafe brand within this market.

WHAT YOU WILL ACCOMPLISH:

In this role, you’ll be the chief architect (along with the CEO and Chief Strategy Officer) who designs a business strategy and vision that leads to strategic partnership outcomes with payors.

By the end of your first year, we’d expect you to:

  • Become our resident expert. You stay abreast of the evolving healthcare landscape and collaborate with the Medisafe team to prioritize partnerships. You’ll also be the face of Medisafe in the market.
  • As a result of your expertise, you will have launched few substantial collaborations with key payor or pharma players in the market that is heading towards a successful partnership.
  • Have developed a strategy and roadmap around key payors and reimbursements. This includes, but is not limited to, bringing in valuable patient data, content, resources, and tools to enhance the patient experience and sustain high levels of engagement with our product.
  • Raised the profile of the business so much so that Medisafe is a familiar and trusted name with major payors in the US, and especially those in the Northeast region.

We are looking for a Program Design & Implementation Manager to join a dynamic and fast-paced environment and work with cross-functional teams to design programs that deliver the company’s vision and strategy and meet our client's goals. By implementing Medisafe's technology and best practices, the Implementation Manager will be able to influence patients' lives and provide them the best support throughout their journey. As a Program Design & Implementation manager at Medisafe, you will be responsible for the full ideation and implementation cycle of digital patient support programs. You will start by gaining a deep understanding of the patient’s challenges and needs before and during their treatment. You will map business challenges and goals. You will then define product requirements and lead the solution design to best support patients by the digital platform and tools that Medisafe develops. You will do so by working closely with internal stakeholders (Partner Success Managers, Product Managers, UX Designers, Behavioral Insights, and content experts) as well as with customers and partners from the Healthcare Industry. You will be at the intersection between the business, customers, product, and technology.  You’ll also be responsible for creating stable and robust infrastructure, defining processes and workflows, and preparing for this position to scale up, so when the time comes, we will be able to build a team.

What You Will Do:

  • Manage the end-to-end process for customer program implementation. Everything from mapping the customer needs and performing research - through to using Medisafe's platform to create optimized solutions for clients, reviewing the solutions with the client and getting feedback, preparing materials for legal review, and finally launching a full working program on time.
  • Understand the project scope, lead and collaborate with all stakeholders (PS, sales, product management, development, quality assurance, support, operations, infrastructure, as well as external partners and their customers) during the implementation process.
  • Define and design high-level use cases on complex solutions that best address partner/customer’s needs and gain customer acceptance by conceptualizing product development improvements.
  • Work closely with the Partners Success team to provide status updates regularly.
  • Where necessary, escalate project risks and issues and coordinate mitigation plans.
  • Assist with training partners and onboarding new customers.

  • Skilled project and client relationship management to drive measurable financial and strategic results for our clients (pharmaceutical industry, pharmacies, payers, healthcare systems, associations, and enterprise technology companies) and Medisafe.
  • Manage the client to maintain scope creep, assess risk, ensure renewal and upsell of new and valuable functionality
  • Ensure client satisfaction and retention so each is referenceable and a Medisafe raving fan.

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3 - 5 years of healthcare experience. Digital Health and/or Pharma experience is a plus.
  • Exposure to large, complex organizations - heavily regulated, often bureaucratic organizations with track record for getting them to move more quickly.
  • Strong track-record of establishing long-term relationships with key influencers in the healthcare space.
  • B2B experience is required; B2B2C and B2C experience is a plus
  • Attention to detail is critical for best-in-class service delivery

The Program Manager will work with our cross-functional teams and oversee the various programs from signing to delivery.
